January has been "one of those days..."

It’s pretty much guaranteed that we’ve all had “one of those days” at some point. Or… often. Lately, I’ve had a lot of them.

Editing right now feels like running an obstacle course while wearing clown shoes and a blindfold. I’ve also developed a serious case of the dropsies—everything my hands try to grasp either slips right through or gets dropped immediately.

Life is challenging. And while some days I’d very much like to curl up and give up, most days I turn to the things that soothe me.

For me, that’s familiar shows and movies—the ones that feel like home, if that makes sense. The ones where you know most of the lines and could tell exactly what’s happening even with your eyes closed. Lately, I keep going back to my favorite K-drama, Tale of the Nine-Tailed.

There’s something about it that makes me take a deep breath and relax. It helps release all that pent-up frustration that quietly builds up from everyday life.

Sometimes, that’s enough.

What about you?

When you’re having “one of those days,” what’s the something that helps you reset—even just a little?
